Jaime D. Rios, President / CEO
Jaime is Chief Executive Officer and owner of Americana Ambulance and has more than 16 years of experience in both emergent and non-emergent transportation services. His comprehensive background coupled with on-the-job education and training, creates an ideal blend of hands-on management know-how and top-notch strategic proficiency. Prior to starting Americana in 1999, Jaime was an EMT who established himself as a statewide leader on emergency transportation issues. In recognition of his expertise, he now serves as a board member of the Texas Ambulance Association.
Andy Guerra, Vice-President of Operations
Starting in dispatch, and then becoming both an EMT-B and a wheelchair van driver, Andy has excelled in every facet of the private ambulance business for more than 21 years. After receiving his EMT-I in 1992, Andy went into ambulance company management. In 1994, Andy helped start a successful ambulance company in San Antonio as part of its senior management team. Shortly thereafter, he obtained his EMT-LP. He's been with Americana since its inception in 1999, and has been vice President for the past five years supervising operations throughout South Texas. Under his tenure, Americana was awarded contracts to provide 911 services to the city of Lytle and ambulance services for the University Health System.
Marlene Stanush, Emergency Dispatch Supervisor
Marlene Stanush started her career in EMS as a 911 dispatcher for Bexar County and quickly learned that EMS is where she wanted to build her Career. Marlene became a paramedic in 2005 and spent time working on a 911 contract as a field paramedic. She became proficient at her skills and moved into the office where she once again returned to EMS dispatching. Marlene has the ability to handle any emergency or customer service issue with the general public or contracted facilities with professionalism and skill. Marlene manages the dispatchers at Americana Ambulance and is available to answer any questions you may have regarding transportation. Marlene brings the element of field experience and office management to this position and delivers a customer service orientated department that will bring all clients satisfaction.
David Sanchez, Operations Manager
David has served in EMS since 1987 as an EMT Basic. He attained his Paramedic Certification from UTHSC and continued as a field medic for the next 7 years in San Antonio. He retired as a Field medic in 1997. David went on to work in EMS dispatch in 2002 with Americana Ambulance. He quickly moved into the area of management due to his excellent customer service skills, management techniques, and knowledge of patient care. David is highly respected and appreciated by all that work with him. His responsibilities include: fleet maintenance, employee scheduling, and Customer Service. As an Operations Manager David has 19 years combined field and administrative experience in Emergency Medical Services.
Scott Roberts, Operations Manager
Scott Roberts has over 20 years experience as a medic in south Texas. After attaining his Paramedic certification in 1992 Scott has maintained a leadership role in the medical field. His leadership experience includes Field Training Officer, BLS instructor, Certified OSHA Safety Training Officer, MICU medic specializing in Remote Medicine and Long Distance
Transport, Emergency Dispatcher and now is an Operations Manager for Americana Ambulance. Scott has 8 years total with Americana Ambulance. Scott was promoted in the area of management in 2009 with excellent customer
service skills, management techniques, and is still a provider of patient care.
Scott Rinehart, Director of Operations
Scott brings 15 years of EMS experience to Americana, and works in a management capacity focusing on Operations. Scott has experience which gives him the knowledge to accurately supervise the operational departments of Communications and transportation. Over the years Scott has also volunteered at SAFWA EMS and Medina County EMS.
Lisa Guerra, General Manager EMT-P
Lisa has 15 years experience in EMS, and her first five years of field work gave her hands-on training in every aspect of EMS management including communications, billing, human resources and operations. Lisa currently oversees coordination of all of Americana's departments to ensure seamless operations and maximum efficiency. Her responsibilities include human resources, bids and proposals, scheduling, customer/patient service and quality control to ensure every one of our clients is treated with the utmost care and respect.
